Natasha is the CEO of Monday Swimwear and Monday Body.
She has also developed a career across modelling, presenting, brand building, and content creation and in 2024,
published her first book — sharing what she’s learned about entrepreneurship, creativity, and turning vision into something real.
FBI: What was the moment you realised Monday Swimwear had become more than just an idea?
Natasha: I don’t think there was one single moment in particular. To me, it happened gradually.
Every milestone felt exciting, but I think it really clicked when we started seeing women all over the world
genuinely choosing to wear and recommend Monday. Watching a community form around the brand,
rather than just customers buying products, was when I realised we’d built something much bigger than we ever imagined.
FBI: What’s been the most rewarding part of building a global brand from Australia?
Natasha: Although Monday Swimwear was founded while I was living in Los Angeles,
I’ve always been proud to be Australian, and Australia has always been a huge part of the brand.
One of my favourite things now is being back home and spotting women wearing Monday at my local beaches like Bondi and Bronte.
It’s such a surreal feeling seeing something that started as an idea become part of people’s everyday lives.
It’s also been incredible to watch so many Australian brands earn recognition on the global stage.
With our new Soho store in New York, we’re surrounded by some amazing Australian brands, which is really special.
It feels like there’s a new wave of Australian businesses proving that you don’t have to be from one of the traditional
fashion capitals to build a globally recognised brand, and I’m really proud to be part of that.
FBI: What’s one piece in your wardrobe you’ll never part with?
Natasha: A great white shirt—especially my La Jolla White Cotton Shirt from Monday. It’s one of those timeless,
versatile pieces that works with almost everything. You can throw it over swimwear at the beach,
pair it with denim for an effortless everyday look, or dress it up with tailored pants and heels for dinner.
I love investing in pieces that are classic, can be styled countless ways, and you’ll reach for season after season.
FBI: What’s one lesson you’ve learned as an entrepreneur that every fashion student should know before starting their career?
Natasha: Don’t wait until everything feels perfect before you start.
You learn so much more by taking action than by waiting until you have all the answers.
Be open to feedback, stay curious and don’t be afraid to evolve. Building a brand is a long game,
and consistency, resilience and surrounding yourself with great people are just as important as having a great idea.
