Structured Workplace Training

Workplace Training is designed to provide opportunities for students to apply theory to practice in a real-life working environment. It also enables students to develop their skills and prepare for future employment within the Fashion Industry. All structured Workplace Training is organised by the FBI Careers Agency.

It is mandatory for students to undertake Structured Workplace Training whilst studying at FBI Fashion College.
The Workplace Training Program is flexible allowing students to alternate and negotiate  the Workplace Training patterns.
Please refer to the individual course details for nominal hours of Workplace Training required to undertake FBI Courses.

Students must maintain a Work Placement Logbook.
This enables the students completed hours and work experience tasks to be recorded and monitored.
Students will be supervised in their work placement. Students are not paid on their Structured Work placement days and it must be remembered that these days are a vital part of learning.

A student may also apply for a reduction in Workplace Training hours for RPL in various units.
RPL means skills obtained in a number of areas, through life experience, non-accredited courses etc.
Applications for reduction in hours due to RPL must be in writing and the student is still required to be formally assessed in the unit to ensure competence.

If you require further information on the Workplace Training Requirements,

FBI Graduate & Founding Partner Luxe Duo

My time at FBI has been a really rewarding experience, as I changed my career path completely I knew this was not going to be easy. FBI made the classes fun, educational and most importantly flexible. At the end of my course I was lucky enough to be placed in a full-time role at Gucci Australia Head Office, as an Assistant Visual Merchandiser. I believe my studies, knowledge from the course and FBI’s recognised name got me this position.

I highly recommend FBI if you are looking to further your career in Fashion or desire a career in Fashion, they will make this happen.
