January ● The exclusive flexible and part-time Advanced Diploma of Fashion Business becomes the most popular Business Course

February ● Following our successful trips to Paris, Florence and Milan, The Global Fashion Experience to New York was introduced

March ● FBI Students had a Company Visit to Rachel Gilbert and heard from the talented Fashion Designer

● Fashion Stylist to the stars, Kelly Smythe was FBI’s first Industry Guest of the year

● The FBI Workshop Series- Digital Fashion hosted by Wedded Wonderland and Who What Wear

 

April ● FBI Careers Agency builds on their industry collaborations, working closely with companies such as Vogue, Carla Zampatti, Alice McCall and Zimmermann

 

May ● Announced the Global Fashion Experience Competition, giving students the opportunity to win a Global Fashion Experience trip to New York, Paris, China, Italy, London or Barcelona 

● The FBI Workshop Series- Fashion Entrepreneurs hosted by Alexandra Smart of Ginger and Smart and Ursula Hufnagl Director of Chic Model Management 

● FBI team and students had the opportunity to attend MBFWA. Students also had special roles assisting designers including Alice McCall and Bianca Spender

 

June ● FBI students went to the Camilla headquarters for a Company Visit

July ● New York Fashion Professor and events innovator Michelle Alleyne confirms hosting students to 3 New York Fashion Week Shows during the Global Fashion Experience.

August ● FBI celebrated their 24th Birthday with a wild Cocktail Party for students

● Hired best in the Fashion Business to teach our exclusive Advanced Diploma of Fashion Business

 

September ● FBI confirmed their Parsons partnership for the GFE to New York, where students will have the unique opportunity to visit key players in the industry, attend Fashion Week and participate in an exclusive program hosted by Parsons School of Design

●FBI expands their courses by hiring Fashion Designer Karla Spetic

●The FBI Workshop Series- Creative Direction hosted by Creative Directors and Fashion Bloggers Jessie Khoo from Fashion and Sounds and Mel Tan from Joyhesteric

October ●FBI received 7 years extension from the Federal Government as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)

● FBI 24 year record broken, with the FBI Careers Agency – placing 100 students into paid Fashion Jobs this year alone

November ● FBI expanded and welcomed 3 new staff members to their family

● FBI placed 1,700 students into paid Fashion Jobs

December ● FBI Design students will be showcasing their Nextiles Masterclass collections in front of Fashion Buyers, the media and Fashion Industry Guests at the stunning waterfront location – Museum of Contemporary Art
